What makes your mangoes different?Grocery store mangoes have a long journey and cold storage between a farm to the shelf to your table, but our mango is hand-picked at the perfect time and packed the same day it ships to you directly from our farm in Central Florida. That means a sweeter, juicier mango for you, a better deal for our farm, and a step in the right direction for a smarter, more sustainable food chain. When necessary, we treat our mangoes using soap and water to remove black spots, keeping them as natural as possible. Our mangoes are never treated with chemicals.
-
Will the mangoes be ripe when I get them?Yes! We pick our mangoes right before they are about to be ripped, carefully pack them into boxes, and send them to you on the same day. Occasionally, you may need to take the mangoes out of the box and leave them on your counter for a few more days to ripen fully.
-
Can I refrigerate my mangoes?Yes, but they will not be as flavorful - it's important to let the mangoes ripen at room temperature before you store them in the refrigerator. Refrigeration stops the ripening process so that the cold temperature will maintain the degree of softness and juiciness your mangoes have when you put them in. We suggest consuming the mangoes at room temperature for the best taste and maximum juiciness! Most grocery store mangoes miss the mark because they sit in refrigeration for far too long and never ripen naturally - that's one of the things that makes our mangoes better!
